Good News on Home Heating Oil Prices

American Energy Coalition - September 27th, 2012

Heating oil users can look forward to stable fuel prices in the months ahead, according to a recent news story by WWLP 22 News. The national average price for home heating oil dropped to $3.70 per gallon this week, which is lower than the current price for a gallon of gasoline, according to the article.

Marty Topor, the owner of Central Oil, in Chicopee, Mass., told 22News that homeowners can save even more money by cleaning their furnace every year.

"They can skip out for $89, but the thing is it boils down to they'll save more than that in the course of a year. The other thing is there's more than enough oil around. I don't predict any shortages at all," Topor said.
