NORA Releases Check List For Servicing Storm-Damaged Oil-Fired Appliances

American Energy Coalition - November 12th, 2012

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, NORA (National Oilheat Research Alliance) has released a "Check List" designed to provide guidance to Companies and Service Technicians engaged in the repair of Oil Appliances that may have sustained water damage as a result of the storm. The Check List represents a broader effort by several Oil Industry Trade groups led by NORA. More specifically, the Oilheat Manufacturers Association (OMA), OESP (National Association of Oil & Energy Service Professionals, AEC (American Energy Coalition) and others, including the R.W. Beckett Corp. collaborated in the effort to create the document.

Led by NORA the ad hoc group is continuing to work on storm related issues aimed at helping the Industry restore heat and hot water to Oilheat Customers as rapidly as possible following the restoration of electric power. Key to this effort is communications between Manufacturers, Parts & Equipment Wholesalers, Oilheat Dealers and Service Companies. The goal is to have Oil Equipment and Replacement Parts where needed to allow Oilheat Retailers to do what they do best: "Provide Exceptional Service To Their Customers".
